# 10+10×0+10 , what is the answer to this problem?

0

I need the answer and why

• 10+10×0+10

10+0+10

10+10

20

Since multiply is the first step to this problem, 10×0 would be 0, next is add , 10+0+10 so it’s equal to 20

• 10 10 X 0 10

• 10 10 0 10

• 10

• Okay this is my theory, If there is no PARENTHESIS to this problem the the answer should and is 10.

Because 10 + 10 = 20 and 20 x 0= 0 and 0 +10 = 10

The reason is 10 +10 x 0 +10 there is no ( ) between the 10 x 0 so the answer is 10.

But if it was put in this fashion 10 + ( 10 x 0 ) + 10 = then the answer would be 20.

Even though multiplication comes first there is no PARENTHESIS TO THIS EQUATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• 10+10×0+10,

10+0+10,

10+10,

20.

• 10×0=0

10+10=20 Follow the order of operation

• Order of operations! That is key. You do multiplication and division before you add and subtract. 10 X 0 =0 so then the problem is 10+0+10=20

• I can’t help but notice how many responses insist on the use of Pemdas.

If BemDAS, GEMDAS, Pemdas, Shmemdas (or whatever you kids are calling it nowadays) works so well, then what is 100/10×2 ??

oh, and by the way, 10+10*0+10 = 10+0+10 = 20….no Phlegmdas required

• GEMDAS (instead of PEMDAS because you should always do parentheses AND brackets first
