Best Temperature for a Tan?

NetherCraft 0

What would you say is the best temperature outside for getting a tan without being burned?

I never said the actual temperature was going to burn me, I was asking in terms of what is most bareable to spend time outside while tanning. I’m not ignorant, I realize the UV rays is what tans you, not the actual heat.

  • Tanning is bad for you! You should avoid the sun at all cost.

  • The temperature generally doesn’t have anything to do with it. Any exposure to the sun can cause tanning. It is not healthy to lie in the sun for a long amount of time. I live in Australia, and I know many people that still lie in the sun to tan, even though it’s a big risk factor for skin cancer. You will most likely get a lot more tanned moving to Sydney, as the sun is a lot stronger in Australia. I think the best way to tan, is to use fake tan lotion. There is no risk of skin cancer there.

  • Temperature has nothing to do with it. You can tan when it is 32 degrees outside if the sun is out. It is your skin’s reaction to the UV rays.

  • temperature outside kinda matters but you getting burned can be avoided. try tanning from the hours of 10:00 am-12:00pm and this is when you’ll get the best tan.

ALWAYS use some kinda tanning lotion with sun protection!!!

  • You don’t tan from heat you tan from light. You can get a tan even if its overcast. The best time of the day is around noon when the sun is at its peak in the sky and it doesn’t matter if its hot or cold out.

  • Tanning has nothing to do with temperature. I’ve gotten some great tans while skiing.

  • Temperature has NOTHING to do with it. It is how much sun is hitting your skin.

You can get a sun burn at the north pole in the winter.

  • The only way to get a healthy or safe tan is from a bottle. Please read this important information on the FDA’s website. It is not trying to sell you a product. The information is based on scientific studies.
