No, if they have blue eyes they are cross bred. Akita and Akita Inu do not carry the gene for blue eyes and never have. You will find people selling “blue eyed Akita” but they are not pure bred. It is not a show standard issue, it’s not in the breeds genetics to carry blue eyes.
Akita have been crossed with Huskies a lot over the last few years, that is probably where the blue eyes comes from so look for an Akita x Husky (sometimes called Huskita).

Just curious, but did you do any research whatsoever about Akitas?
It seems to me as if you’re only getting this high energy, not for everybody breed because of it’s looks.
While many dog breeds can be beautiful, they may not necessarily be for you.
Edit-
If the do have blue eyes, it may be a mutt. But if they can, than it is a disqualification in the show ring, as Akitas must have dark brown eyes.
If you were to get such a dog from a breeder, presuming that blue eyed Akitas are purebred, then it’d most likely be on a strict spay/neuter contract.
Edit 2-
Oh, OK then.
But again, I doubt it. If you’re going to buy a dog from a breeder, at least make it one that doesn’t contribute to shelters and such. Therefore, reputable breeders won’t really have blue eyed Akitas, if they are purebred ones. If they do, it will be on a strict spay/neuter contract, as I stated.

I agree with Calvin on this one, it seems like you are basing you’re whole “dream dog” on it’s looks, rather than what really matters it’s temperament particularly if that temperament fits you’re lifestyle, also its energy needs and training needs and various other needs. The Akita is a “power” breed which means it needs an owner with a thick skin so to speak, it is a breed that is not for everyone. And if you are not an active person this is a breed certainly not for you.
Akitas are not suppose to have blue eyes, so any breeder breeding for this is going to be a completely unethical Backyard Breeder or Puppy mill breeder, cutting corners to cut costs yet inflate prices. Where the corners cut is generally in the temperament and health areas. You do not want that.

Sorry but if you have done months of research how did you not happen to look up the possibility of a white akita with blue eyes?? I’m sorry but that sounds a little fishy to me.
Buying from a reputable breeder is not just important to anyone looking for a show dog, it’s important to anyone looking for a HEALTHY, CORRECT dog. HEALTHY meaning that the parent dogs have had health screens PRIOR to breeding to check for genetic diseases that the breed is prone to and ensure that these aren’t passed on to puppies; CORRECT meaning that the puppies are what an Akita should be physically and temperamentally, so that puppies grow up to look like proper Akitas (what’s the point of having your “dream” white-coat-with-blue-eyes Akita puppy if it grows up to look more like a white labrador?) and they grow up having sound temperaments (ie. no fearfulness, anxiety issues, unusual aggressiveness, etc.). THAT is what “show breeders” AKA reputable breeders do, and that is why you should want to buy a puppy from a reputable breeder.
BTW, I checked the breed standard and they do come in all white but the standard calls for dark brown eyes no matter the coat color. It did not mention whether it’s possible for blue eyes to occur. Very possible that the dog you saw once was a pure white Husky with blue eyes, as blue eyes are very common in that breed. You’re best off e-mailing a reputable Akita breeder to ask about blue eyes in Akitas.

How about you use that lovely website called Google and do research on the breeds you’re interested in yourself?

your “dream dog” shouldn’t be based on looks
anyways, a breeder might be able to make shipping arrangements, however not all do

Sorry but a DREAM does not mean anything least of all that you should get the animal you saw.
