In which case: 1/λ = Rh(1/nf^2 – 1/nfi^2) = 1.10×10^7 (1/1^2 – 1/2^2) = 1.10×10^7 ( 1 – 0.25) = 1.10 x10^7 (0.75) λ = 1.21 x 10^-7 m The wavelength produced will be about 1.21 x 10^ -7 m, or 121 nm. This falls in the Lyman series of spectral lines and will therefore produce UV EMR.
