No, hiccups mean that there is something stimulating your diaphragm, causing it to “jump” or spasm. More rarely, it could be something affecting the phrenic nerve to the diaphragm. Overeating or swallowing too much air when you eat could cause this…

Science explains oh this is yada yada what’s occurring when you hiccup.. Great, but I believe that evidence shows growing people and dogs hiccup. Not always because they ate too quick or breathed too much air. I mean come on people

You get hiccups from this dome shaped muscle at the bottom of your chest when you inhale it pulls down to help pull your air into your lungs but also what can happen is the diaphragm it can become irritated when this happens it will pull down in jerky way then makes you ꜱᴜcκ air into your throat which causes air to rush which hits your voice box which causes hiccups. You can also get hiccups from drinking or eating to fast.
I hope this was helpful

P.S: You don’t get hiccups from growing, but puppies are more likely to get hiccups than adult dogs, because they have a tendency to ingest a lot of air when they are eating or drinking, and they are growing also when they grow they have tendency to ingest a lot of air.

No. Hiccups just mean you have air stuck in your windpipe.
