I called the local Cabela’s and they do accept checks. They want the address on the check to be current and that you have an ID.
Don’t write checks.
You would be surprised how people write checks and cashiers come back saying the check is no good. People that write checks often think that the check will not clear for a couple of days. This simply is not true.
I see cashiers just look up to the ceiling and rolling their eyes when people write checks.
They know the check won’t be any good.
Use cash or a debit card when making a purchase.
Some stores (probably this one) have refused to start taking checks all together.
Lol nobody accepts checks anymore. get a credit card.
