Look at this diagram. This is the greenhouse at my University. (Northern California) Now can you answer these questions please.

Why are the desert plants on the west side of the greenhouse?

Why are the Cool and Fern rooms in the northeast corner of the greenhouse?

If you were going to reorganize the greenhouse and add a mountain alpine habitat room, where would you put it and why? What factors would you consider in deciding where to put it?

But I believe the desert plants are grown on the west side of the greenhouse because the west side gets the most sun at the hottest part of the day (sun rises in the east and sets in the west).

Conversely, the cool and fern rooms are on the northeast because they don’t get much sun during the hottest part of the day.

And for the last one, im not quite certain but I think it would be the northeast corner as well just because mountain alpine habitats are very cold and dry. I’m not even certain if a greenhouse would work with this habitat.

Anyways, good luck on the prelab! =)
