How do I enter sin^2(x) into a TI-84 Silver?

NetherCraft 0

When I hit the sin button a parentheses automatically shows up [ex: sin( ]. I’m having trouble with double angle identities and wanted to graph them to visualize which identities to use. I tried entering it as sin(x)^2, but I really don’t think it’s the same thing. I got the manual PDF and couldn’t find anything.

thank you!

  • sin²(x) is just shorthand notation for (sin(x))² or sin(x)², so they are exactly the same thing.

  • It works, just make sure your device is in Radian.

  • That’s not right
