  • I know my lasagna takes 45 min. to an hour at 350 degrees F. When the top is bubbly and the cheese lightly browned, that’s usually an indication that it’s done. Are you burning the bottom only? I put some of the sauce under the noodles on the bottom to keep them from sticking. Something to think of for next time.

    Hope this helps!

  • I usually don’t put eggs in my lasagna, but if I do, I cook it on low heat for about an hour at 325 then crank the oven at the end to get some color on the top.

If you don’t put eggs in it, then you really just need to heat it up to melt the cheese in it and get it hot all the way through.

Make sure you are not using too much sauce. About 1/4 cup per layer for a 9″x13″ pan is PLENTY.

Also be sure to let it cool down some before you serve. Usually 15 -20 minutes is good after you take it out of the oven. Lasagna is always better the next day as far as I’m concerned.

  • There’s a trick you can do to tell if the inside is cooked all the way. Take the lasagna out of the oven. Take a metal butter knife, and stick it straight down into the middle of the lasagna, so it stands up. Leave it in there for about 15 seconds. Then pull it out, and feel how warm it is. It should be very warm for the middle to be done.

Also, you should be cooking the lasagna, covered in aluminum foil, until the last 10 minutes or so. It can barely burn if you do that. Spray some Pam on the side of the foil that touches the lasagna, so it doesn’t stick.

Cook the lasagna with the foil on, and check it for doneness with the knife test. Once it’s done in the middle, take the foil off, and let it cook uncovered until the top is browned to your liking.

  • When Is Lasagna Done

  • You pre-cook the noodles, & make up the sauce ahead.

So after constructing the layers, it only need melt the cheese.

Put some foil over the top to prevent cheese from burning.

Bake at 350F for 20 minutes, remove the foil, bake 10 more.

  • Well, everything is cooked and that’s all you need to do is heat everything up. Usually when the chesse has melted, it’s done. If your cheese is burning, place a tent of aluminum foil over the top to prevent that.

Brown cheese is very good. it give the cheese more flavor.

  • i usually bake it about 30 minutes at 350 degrees..i wait until the cheese is melted and the sauce is bubbling..ive never burned it

  • I really like both fruits and fruit and vegetables better, regardless how they look and taste. You desire a little of both.

  • first stop checking so often…every time you open the oven you lose heat…like 25 degrees….wait 30 minutes…at 375…then check …you’ll know it’s done when cheese is brown and the edges are bubbling…good luck

  • i second the first answer .
