I got a job at CVS…tips?

NetherCraft 0

I finally got a job after searching for 8 months! I’ll be a cashier at CVS (drug store) and also work in the photo lab occasionally. Orientation is on Tuesday and I’m really nervous. I’m afraid I’ll be a slow learner and they’ll fire me or something haha. I’m also afraid of what the customers will be like because this store is in the middle of a neighborhood full of gorgeous MANSIONS..what if the customers are all stuck-up bᎥτçհes??

If any of you have worked at CVS or a place like it, do you have any tips for me?

  • Just be pleasant, I work in banking and alot of our customers are wealthy lawyers, once you get to know them, they will start to chat with you and actually become a sort of friend. They know you will be nervous at first, and should be very patient. Good luck on the new job, you will do great.

  • Cvs Orientation

  • Congratulations on landing a job at CVS.

Pay close attention in orientation and take notes. If you think it will take you time to learn things, write out procedures step-by-step in your own way so you always have a cheat sheet nearby.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Become a good team member so the other people you work with will want to step up and help if you have questions.

Don’t make any assumptions about the people who will come to the store. You may prejudge people and become the stuck-up person that you expect.

Expect to have a good experience and be open to learning new things.

    Good luck!

  • well i want to say this i worked at cvs as a photo/cashier and i mean its good when your doing those two jobs but sometimes they might try to make you do stock which i hated doing the register is super easy to learn and then the photo is cool but sometimes it could difficult to learn all of the ways of setting it up basically the job is cool as long as they give you decent hours to work and dont change your schedule all the time
