Does it bother you when people always say they’ll call, but never do? I mean, I don’t expect folks to call every single time they say they will, but when they constantly leave me hanging is the part that annoys me. To me that’s a little rude and inconsiderate. How do you handle “friends like this?

I would be nice, but tell them it bothers you.. I would say something simple like “Why didn’t you call me when you said you would?” Explain that you thought it was a little rude- I would try to be nice though. I wouldn’t worry about it too much though because those people probably don’t think much of it when they say it.

I have a friend that does that, and it doesn’t really bother me. She is either busy or completly forgot. It’s not a big deal. If it really bothers you just call your friend instead.

if they say they’ll call you later and never do it might mean that you two might be drifting away and i’d just stop talking to them and when they are ready to be your friends again then why will really call you.

Stop feeling obligated to be there for them… They had to leave and told you that they would get back to you… Common misconception. I used to hate it too…. Then I realized, what the heck am I waiting on??? I am important too….

i would handle it, by asking them.. why they never call when they say they r going to. then if they dont really have an answer, i guess just forget about them.
