When people say “I’m going to go buy some tenner shoes!” I’ve heard people pronounce it “tenn-A shoes” and I know this is just hoe people talk, but I say tenner, and people are always give a giggle and say “Tenner?” because I choose to actually pronounce it as it should be.
But I am unsure if it is Tennis Shoe or Tenner Shoe, or can it be both or are the both thing but different types.
Does this make sense?
Hope you can help!
Thank youu!
(:

In the UK that would mean you’re going to buy some shoes for £10 or for “a tenner” as we say lol.

its tennis shoes if you want to say it as it is, but tenner shoes would be a cute nickname for them

Tennis shoes, more versatile, better for when you’re trying to outrun the serial killer that’s chasing you with a chainsaw in his hands.
