Is there another word I can use in lieu of “Today’s Society”?

NetherCraft 0

I’m writing an English essay, and I was going to submit it today, but after having a friend proofread it, I noticed how much more work I needed to do on it. I’ve used the phrase “in today’s society…” quite a few times(the thesis of my essay is that the Greek mythological figure Perseus is a hero[in a nutshell- it’s actually way more intricate than that]), and I was just wondering- are there any words that I can use as synonyms for “in today’s society”? List all of them that you can think of. Thanks!
