Leftover foods to be re-used in a buffet should be refrigerated promptly and:?

a. Taken from the refrigerator directly to the steam table

b. Rapidly reheated to 165 degrees F before placing in the steam table

c. Reheated to 140 degrees F and then placed in the steam table

d. Left on the counter in order to bring to room temperature before placing in the steam table

i know its not a, or d. just need help determining which one. taking my food handlers test
