  • It is when there is no wifi connection , try fixing your wifi and that should resolve your problem.

It could also be because the PS server is down , fix your wifi and keep trying and it should work.

  • I had random 80* error codes for days now. I ran network/internet diagnostics and no issues with the 12 other internet enabled devices in my house. Just my PS3. It always occurs when trying to connect to either the Playstation store or an online game on the PSN so deductive reasoning leads me to believe it is an issue with the PSN itself. After several attempts I eventually get in only to have the error come up a few hours later. Searches on the PSN Knowledge Base and Google brought back “0” answers. Hopefully Sony is aware and working on it.

    I hope this helps.

  • Been having the same problem past 2 hours or so, everything worked fine until then.

No problem with my wi-fi connection because I have been browsing the internet, so maybe it’s just the PS network itself. Finally just had mine to work about 2 minutes ago, hopefuly it will stay on now 😀

  • I Just started getting the same error code I hope it gets fixed soon I have internet access with everything else

  • Don’t listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they’re talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com/

It’s very light and it’s the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it’s also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn’t take you more than 5 minutes.

  • maybe its a bug for 2010 leap year, am not sure but i read an article earlier about it.. it has something to do about the ps3 system’s date. heared that it can be fixed manualy in the internet. good luck.
