    Potatochips are fried in oil to make them crispy and this is where the fat comes from:) Low fat chips are usually fried in different kinds of oils with lower fat content.

  • From the oil used to deep fry them. Low fat chips use different oil. Some manufacturers use Olestra/Olean to get fat free chips.
