Problem on transformers?

NetherCraft 0

A potential difference of 115V across the primary of a step-down transformer provides a potential difference of 2.3 V across the secondary. What is the ratio of the number of turns of wire on the primary to the number of turns on the secondary?

Please show me how you’ve achieved your answer…thanks 🙂

  • The no. of turns in a transformer is directly proportional to the voltage.

    115/2.3 = 50:1 turns ratio ANS
