  • W = Fd = K + U, in this case U = 0 as the arrow doesn’t have any potential energy in the direction of flight as it leaves the bow

    W = Fd = K = 0.5mv^2

    v = sqrt(Fd/(0.5m))

    =sqrt(125N*0.74m/(0.5*0.088kg))

    = 45.85 m/s
