  • HEINEKEN is one of the world’s great brewers and is committed to growth and remaining independent. The brand that bears the founder’s family name – HEINEKEN – is available in almost every country on the globe and is the world’s most valuable international premium beer brand.

Our aim is to be a leading brewer in each of the markets in which we operate and to have the world’s most valuable brand portfolio. Our principal international brand is HEINEKEN®, but the Group brews and sells more than 200 international premium, regional, local and specialty beers and ciders, including: Amstel®, Primus®, Birra Moretti®, Sagres® , Cruzcampo®, Star®, Foster’s®, Strongbow®, Kingfisher®, Tiger®, Newcastle Brown Ale®, Zywiec®, Ochota®.

We have the widest presence of all international brewers, thanks to our global network of distributors and over 125 breweries in more than 70 countries in 2009. In Europe we are the largest brewer and we are the world’s largest cider producer.

We achieve our global coverage through a combination of wholly-owned companies, licence agreements, affiliates and strategic partnerships and alliances. Some of our wholesalers also distribute wine, spirits and soft drinks.

Our brands are well established in both profitable and mature markets, and with recent agreements and proposed acquisitions in India, Asia and Latin America, are growing in emerging beer markets.

  • In obedience to the Great Commission, yes, I can see how sending out mission teams to places like Africa would be something important. But I also agree with you with the ‘start local’. You can begin by witnessing here, in your own area: just ask the Lord to show you how He would like you to do that. About 30 years ago, I participated in an outreach bringing the Truth to impoverished neighborhoods in Central America. We decided that we should begin at home too: we collected a lot of goods to bring with us and donations (mostly from wealthy professionals), and we always asked, ‘Do you need a miracle? We are praying people who believe in the Truth, the Life, and the Way, His Name is Jesus’. One bank manager we prayed for came to Christ, but it wasn’t immediately. It was over 16 years later, in a totally different country. But she also had our prayers to help her through her sufferings during those empty years. I met her at a missions conference, and we are still very good friends. Support the missions with prayer. The Lord will lead. Remember, the church today is being judged by God for not obeying. ‘These signs shall follow those who believe’ …if there are no signs following that means the level of ‘belief’ and obedience is very weak. We must support one another in prayer, (Galatians 6:2) so that would be the best beginning.
