What do S, SE, and SEL mean?

• I have a 2010 Fusion SE.The SE is usually mid range with auto.trans and 4 cyl. engine with a nice range of options.Engine has plenty of power,quiet comfortable ride.Very satisfied with car.The S model is the cheapest with 4cyl and some with straight gear transmissions,sure you can get auto trans with that if you want. The SEL is the top of the line with the V6 engine and has more options like moon roof,probably heated seats and so forth.Just depends on what you are looking for in a car and be satisfied after purchase.Price helped me in my decision,the SE.Beautiful car,got one with spoiler,alot of standard equipment.Check all three models out and go with your own instincts.

  I’m thinking about getting a Ford Fusion but there are different kinds. I noticed that the S is the cheapest, SE is medium and SEL is the most expensive. What do those letters stand for? And what are the major differences?

• S-Base model

  SE- Most model people buy

  SEL- More features and luxury (tons of options)

  Hybrid- Same equipment as SE & SEL combined with TWO engines a gas & electric engine for better fuel economy.

  Sport- The best looking out of all the Fusion’s, better than the 2013 Fusion. The Sport comes with a huge 3.5L V6 engine, standard Sync, leather seats, and all the goodies!

  Fusion is the best and most high performanced midsize sedan, I would call the Fusion Sport best midsize sedan made.
