  • It doesn’t mean anything. It is a sound effect in Japanese used for explosions (or hits, or something of that sort). Not unlike the English “bam,” “kaboom,” “pow,” etc.

  • Dokkan Dokkan Paradise

  • Duh! On Toonami on CN TV’s Adult Swim, the words used at the beginning of almost every single line are ‘Don’t Stop! Therefore, IMOHO anyway, ‘dokkan’ means ‘don’t stop’ but can also be an explosion sound effect like ‘kaboom’ or ‘bam’! Bam? Reminds me of Emeril LeGasse the TV chef in N’Orleans. Guy’s really from New England BION! One of my former co-worker’s Moms grew up next door to the LeGasses. Besides freedict.com, can anyone recommend a good Romaji Japanese to English/English to Romaji Japanese online dictionary that is free?
