Your motherboard has slots for 2 ram modules. You are occupying 1 of these slots. That is good thing. You still have plenty of space to upgrade memory.

on you mother board you have the place where the ram fits is called the slots it is usually counted from 0 you may have up till 4 banks of ram or slots they mean the same
