I’ve just read the lyrics, and it seems Sykes is lashing out at a lover who just dumped him. He’s bringing forth gloomy images of his state of mind, and trying to hurt the lover’s feelings.

Oli hasn’t said anything about the specifics in the meaning of this song. But he has said it was about his parents. So I can imagine that he’s talking about how they aren’t happy with his life decisions or his religious beliefs. Oli has gone through problems with depression and I think the lack of support from his parents could have played a large part in the song and his depression.
