Although these socket types are supported certain motherboards will limit your options.
Look at your Motherboards max CPU thermal rating (in Watts), max Front Side Bus (FSB) bandwidth, amount of PCI Express lanes and if you intend on using them all.
I’ve used a few Gigabyte and Asus mid/high range boards and they had no problem catering for a 1100T BE 6 core Phenom II.
