I know I am my uncle’s nephew.. but what would he be to my son? 2nd Uncle? Grand Uncle? Great Uncle? I’m confused…. Is there even a terminology for the relationship?

  • Great Uncle, although informally, he’s usually called just Uncle.

  • He would be your sons great uncle.

  • great uncle i guess, see my dad’s mom has a sister, and to my dad its his aunt, so one generation down for me would be great aunt, so to your son its great uncle

  • He would be Great uncle

The same rule applies as if it were your grandmother…she would then be a great grandmother.
