I know I am my uncle’s nephew.. but what would he be to my son? 2nd Uncle? Grand Uncle? Great Uncle? I’m confused…. Is there even a terminology for the relationship?

Great Uncle, although informally, he’s usually called just Uncle.

great uncle i guess, see my dad’s mom has a sister, and to my dad its his aunt, so one generation down for me would be great aunt, so to your son its great uncle

He would be Great uncle
The same rule applies as if it were your grandmother…she would then be a great grandmother.
