What’s the best way to heat up ham?

In the oven again? or will that dry it out? Microwave? I baked it last nite. FYI.

  • If it’s whole not sliced, put it back in the oven covered with foil.

Add up to a cup of glazing liquid & crimp foil edges to pan.

If sliced, you just re-heat in the microwave, in sealed dish.

  • If you have leftover ham, the best way to reheat it is to slice it up or cut it in cubes, put it in a pan with a little water, cover the pan and heat over medium to medium low heat. The water and the pan being covered will prevent the ham from drying out. Once it is hot, you can keep it covered in the pan over the lowest heat setting to keep it hot for people coming down to breakfast, say, at different times of the morning. (I wouldn’t keep it on the stove for more than an hour, though.) Be sure to turn it often so it doesn’t burn.

  • Oven or microwave, but as strange as this sounds, add some coca-cola or pepsi to the container to keep the natural flavor of the ham and to keep it from drying out
