I’m going to orientation at Panera, and I was just curious if there’s a difference. Oh and where do I go when I go for orientation? Do I just ask someone, or is there a certain room? Thanks.

Orientation at Panera should just be where you go into the cafe that you will be working at and fill out all of the documents needed to work for them with the manager. Just ask to speak to the manager when you get there. Make sure you bring your social security card and your ID. They need those to fill out the paper work. You will also receive your first week schedule, shirt, hat, apron, etc.
Planet Bread, is a class that is normally filled with associates that will be working at different cafe’s in the market. You will learn about the history of Panera, what to expect while working at Panera, and you should also get a chance to taste products and learn a little about how they are made. The location typically varies. Your manager who does your orientation should also schedule you for Planet Bread and give you the time and location.

Planet bread can have anywhere from 2 to 20 people. It just depends. If you know what the uniform is, yes wear it to orientation, but you must wear it to planet bread. My advice is don’t eat before Planet Bread, you will try a lot of foods!
