You are trying to compare the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales and you have two examples: Temperature A is 40 degrees Celsius and 104 degrees F. Temperature B is 100 degrees C and 212 degrees F. What is an equation of the line in slope-intercept form?
thank you so much!!

F = kC + c
==>
104 = 40k + c
212 = 100k + c
==> 108 = 60k (subtract one from the other to eliminate c
==> k = 108/60 = 9/5
Now use this value of k in either of the given equations in k and c
==> 104 = 40 *9/5 + c
==> c = 104 – 72 = 32
so, the equation is
F = 9C/5 + 32
